There are many websites from where fake tweets can be created. People also create false Twitter handles. Although the Twitter handles of celebrities are blue ticks. But it is not 100% like this. Some are correct.. but are not verified. This is taken advantage of. Sometimes such statements are issued, which the celebrity would not have said, one thing on Twitter is Twitter ID. This can lead to the lie of the Twitter handle being caught.
In the spread of fake news, many times wrong things are added by editing the image. Or edit the video to show only the part that contains some controversial • sentence or word. Video is played with MorphKer, in which the video will remain original, but the audio is not the original. The difference is visible only by looking very closely. In this way, in a pinch, the work of demolishing someone's image is also done with fake news.
Jyoti says, there are different tools for this. If a picture is being shared as current then it may also be out of date. We search every time this picture has been shared. It is found in reverse data. Investigation is started when there is the slightest suspicion of a video, photo being old or morphed. For video, break it into frames. Search those frames separately. Sometimes the number of the vehicle is shown in a frame, then somewhere a board, flag or location of the country is shown. If you know the language in the audio, take the help of a language expert. The fact-checker has to be very alert and have to give strong evidence that the news is false."
Like Facebook is running a campaign on its behalf. India also has partnerships with many companies, in which they are paid for fact checking. Twitter has a different model. Facebook has created an algorithm for fake and hate news and some names and words have been banned. If someone writes to them, they get caught. People have figured out a way to do this too. He does not write the banned word, but starts writing its alternative word. The algorithm doesn't catch it. In such a situation, it is very difficult to stop the hatred of fake news based on algorithms. Therefore, in the coming days, everyone will have to form a separate team, which will keep an eye on things closely.
